Redesign proposals

Playa Park.

Two directions for a water park: the logo painted on the floor of a WebGL pool that reacts to the cursor, and a page that is a water slide.

The brief

Propose a new website for a water park in Ciudad Real, starting from the content and brand of its current site.

Decisions

  1. Three distinct concepts: the logo as a mosaic on the floor of a WebGL pool, a page that is a water slide with a ticket calculator, and a scroll that follows the park’s real opening hours.
  2. The logo re-vectorised from the original, with Python masks and potrace tracing.
  3. Each proposal as a single file with photos embedded as WebP, easy to show and to move around.
  4. Previews kept out of search engines, with reduced motion respected.

Outcome

Two of the three proposals published on Cloudflare Pages so the client can try them on their phone.

  • Each concept has its own type system.
