The brief

A memorable website for a taxi driver in Ciudad Real: three clickable directions to choose from before building the final one.

Decisions

  1. “Night”: a pseudo-3D canvas road that speeds up as you scroll and a title lit by the headlights.
  2. “Taximeter”: Swiss editorial design with a seven-segment LED taximeter and a fare calculator.
  3. “La Mancha”: a horizontal journey with seven parallax layers and a day-to-night cycle.
  4. No libraries: just canvas, requestAnimationFrame and IntersectionObserver, with reduced motion respected.

Outcome

All three proposals published on Cloudflare Pages; copy, phone number and fares are still placeholders.

  • In “La Mancha” you pass Ciudad Real, the high-speed train, Almagro, Daimiel and the windmills, which spin with your scroll speed.
